A sun shielding device for positioning behind a pair of prescription eyeglasses comprising: a frame, a sun shielding lens, a retaining cord, and a cord adjuster cord lock. The frame and the sun shielding lens are adapted to easily fit behind a pair of eyeglasses. The sun shielding lens is curved and provides peripheral sun protection for the eyes. The elastically deformable retaining cord is connected to the frame and may be tightened or loosened with the cord adjuster cord lock so that the sun shielding device may be tightened against or taken off a user's face. A kit and method of using the sun shielding device is also disclosed herein. |
