<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for colorless transparent sealing materials excellent in strength, heat resistance, light fastness, resistance to thermal deterioration, and thermal shock resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The composition for transparent sealing materials includes a fluorine-containing compound wherein a carbon skeleton having a curable group is a main chain, and a curing agent. The curable group in the fluorine-containing compound including the carbon skeleton as the main chain may be at least one of functional group selected from the group consisting of a hydroxy group, a carboxy group, an epoxy group, an oxetanyl group, a vinyl ether group, an amino group, a mercapto group, a (meth)acryloxy group, and a hydrolyzable silyl group.
