PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reinforcing a structure using a tensional material, which reduces working time and costs requiring for tensioning and anchoring of the tensional material. SOLUTION: The method for reinforcing the structure 10 using the tensional material 1 includes: a preparing step of preparing the tensional material 1 having a cable 2, a first pressure-bonded member 3 press-bonded to one end of the cable 2, a tension member 5 comprising the other end of the cable 2 and a second pressure-bonded member pressure-bonded to the portion where the portion for the tension member is saved from the other end; a first anchoring step of anchoring the first pressure-bonded member 3 to the structure 10; a temporary anchoring step of temporarily anchoring the tension member 5 or the second pressure-bonded member 4 to the structure 10; a tensioning step of directly tensioning the tension member 5 with a tensional device 30 to apply a predetermined tensional force to the cable 2; and a second anchoring step of anchoring the second pressure-bonded member 4 to the structure 10.
