PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet that facilitates attachment of a shield to a cap body. SOLUTION: The helmet 1 includes the shield 31 rotatably attached to the cap body 2. A suppression member 6 for preventing the shield 31 from dropping from shaft portions 22a and 22b for rotation is arranged outside both side end parts of the shield 31. The suppression member 6 is extended in the width direction of the cap body 2 along the surface of the cap body 2, removably fixed to both side parts 2a and 2b of the cap body 2 and supported on the surface of the cap body 2 between both side parts 2a and 2b so as to prevent movement in the vertical direction along the surface of the cap body 2.
