PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic obtained by formulating a natural moisturizing factor (NMF) present in dermal horny layer, free from preservative, having high moisture-retaining effects and fresh touch feeling in use, and excellently ameliorating rough skin. SOLUTION: The moisturizing cosmetic obtained by heightening the safety by making the cosmetic free from the preservative is obtained by formulating an amino acid, a lactic acid salt, citric acid and a mineral salt as the NMF components, and further formulating a polyhydric alcohol. The moisturizing cosmetic can provide the high moisture-retaining properties and skin-ameliorating effects because of containing the NMF components, and exhibits fresh touch feeling in use by suppressing the sticky feeling.
