PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser fixing device and image forming apparatus that enable satisfactory fixing of a toner image in both low and high density parts. SOLUTION: Continuous paper P, i.e., recording medium is irradiated with laser light from a laser generator 32, thereby toner on the recording medium is heated and fixed. The laser fixing device includes a condenser 35 disposed to cover the place where the recording medium is irradiated with the laser light. Irradiation with the laser light is performed through a slit made in the condenser. In addition, a rear-side condenser 36 is provided on the rear side of the continuous paper. The condenser and the rear side condenser have cylindrical curved faces and are supported such that the center axis of each cylindrical curved face is at the primary irradiation position 33a of the laser light with respect to the continuous paper or near to this position. Thus, scattered light 33b reflected at the primary irradiation position is condensed and is irradiated with the scattered light. Meanwhile, light transmitted to the rear side at the primary irradiation position is condensed to the rear side of the primary irradiation position by the rear side condenser.
