PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a stator or a split stator which is capable of efficiently solving an air gap that can be formed on an interface between stator constituents from a coil as a heat-generating source to a stator core, thereby manufacturing the stator or split stator superior in heat dissipation and having high manufacturing efficiency. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method includes: a step in which a spacer 2 is disposed on an inner circumferential surface 1a of the coil 1, the coil 1 having the spacer 2 is fitted to a tooth 31 of the split core 3 and a space K is formed between the tooth 31 and the coil 1 via the spacer 2; a step in which a resin is injected into a molding die to form an insulator 4' and a mold resin body 4 around the space K and the coil 1, respectively, and manufacturing the split stator cores 10; and a step in which the split stator cores 10 are assembled in a circumferential direction to form the split stator 100.
