Disclosed is a back coating composition capable of forming a back coating film which is not susceptible to acid erosion, and also disclosed is a mirror having excellent acid resistance. A back coating film (14) is formed on a metal film (a silver mirror film (12) or a metal protective film (13)) of a mirror (10) using a back coating composition containing a thermosetting resin, a pigment, and a dispersant, wherein an amino group-containing polymer which has an amine value of 20 mg KOH/g or more and does not have an acid group is contained as the dispersant.
