A COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE EXTRACT PREPARED BY NOVEL METHOD FOR PREPARING BLACK-RED GINSENG

PURPOSE: A method for preparing a novel dark red ginseng is provided to prevent carcinogen presence and to ensure anticancer effect. CONSTITUTION: A functional food for preventing and treating liver cancer or breast cancer contains dark red ginseng as an active ingredient. A method for preparing the dark red ginseng comprise: a step of washing six years old Panax ginseng or Panax quinquefolia and drying at 35-55°C for 20-28 hours; a step of steaming at 75-100°C for 2-6 hours; and a drying at 50-70°C for 9-15 hours and repeating the above steps five times. The dark red ginseng extract is obtained by pulverizing dark red ginsengs, adding 3-7 times volume(w/v) of water, placing for 3-7 hours, and extracting with 1-20 times volume of ethanol. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating liver cancer or breast cancer contains the dark red ginseng extract as an active ingredient.
