<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material that is cured in the air without replacing atmosphere with inert gas upon ultraviolet irradiation and achieves a biaxial retardation film excellent in heat stability of front phase difference obtained, in a polymerizable liquid crystal composition provided as a material for a biaxial film. <P>SOLUTION: The polymerizable liquid crystal composition is provided which contains a polymerizable liquid crystal compound, a chiral compound, a light-absorbing agent, and a photopolymerization initiator, wherein a monofunctional polymerizable liquid crystal compound having two six-membered rings as the polymerizable liquid crystal compound and a benzyl dimethyl ketal compound as the photopolymerization initiator are contained. The light-absorbing agent has a light absorption band in the wavelength of 280-400 nm, and the polymerizable liquid crystal composition exhibits a chiral nematic phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
