IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE READING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus excellent in detecting an image read error. SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus includes a reading means, a storage means and a detecting means. The reading means reads images of a main scanning direction orthogonal to the direction of conveying a document, and reads images of a sub-scanning direction parallel to the direction of conveying the document in accordance with the conveyance of the document. The storage means stores the image data of the document acquired by image reading by the reading image. The detecting means detects an image read error on the basis of a plurality of line data in the sub-scanning direction which are included in the image data. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
