PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator including a non-opposing electrode type electrostatic atomizing device, satisfying conditions of the Electrical Appliances and Material Safety Act without using a switch having 1.5 mm or more of a gap and capable of achieving an electricity shut-off state of a commercial power source and the electrostatic atomizing device when stopped. SOLUTION: The non-opposing electrode type electrostatic atomizing device 26 for supplying mist to a storage compartment of a refrigerator body is connected to a secondary side of a high voltage transformer 47. The high voltage transformer 47 is connected to a first direct current line 88 and a second direct current line 89 from a low voltage direct current circuit 85 for stepping down and rectifying the commercial power source 81 via a reed switch part 51 (reed switches 53, 54). The lead switches 53, 54 are provided on a wall face part of a unit storage chamber so that the on/off state is switched by magnetism of a magnet 71 for detecting opening/closing of a cover member.
