PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire having a high internal pressure retaining performance even if a tire constitution member is formed of a thermoplastic material, and a manufacturing method for the tire. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire 10 includes: a tire skeleton member 17 formed of a thermoplastic material; and a rubber chafer 24 provided on a bead constitution portion 12M of the tire skeleton member 17 and in contact with a rim 20. When the pneumatic tire 10 is assembled to the rim 20, the rubber chafer 24 abuts on the rim 20. Then, since rim fitting property is sufficient and gas is hardly removed from a space between a bead 12 and the rim 20 even if air is filled in the tire, the internal pressure retaining performance is high even if the tire skeleton member 17 is formed of the thermoplastic material.
