<p>The version or the like of a packet can be determined from the preamble of the packet, and further the specification, which includes a part storing control information of the packet, can be changed according to the version or the like. A communication system is disclosed wherein a transmitter apparatus (10), which includes a phase vector setting unit (15) operative to use, with respect to transport data corresponding to the subcarriers of a multicarrier signal, a particular phase vector to rotate the phases of the signals on the subcarriers, thereby imparting the phase vector thereto, sets the phase vector, which differs according to the version or the like of a packet, to the preamble thereof. A receiver apparatus (20), which includes a phase vector restoring unit (25) operative to reversely rotate the phases of the signals on the subcarriers of the multicarrier signal, thereby restoring the original phase vectors, can detect the carriers using the particular phase vector and determine the version or the like of the packet from the type of the successfully detected phase vector, thereby performing a reception process in accordance with the version or the like.</p> |
