The controlling device (1) has an interface (PSIx) for receiving the current modulated sensor signals and switch elements (2,3). An internal resistance of the switch elements is used as measuring resistor for current measurement. The controlling device receives the sensor signals by a two-wire line, particular a twisted two-wire line. An independent claim is also included for a method for data transmission of a sensor by an interface, particularly two-wire interface to a controller, particularly for use in a vehicle.
