Monocyclopentadienyl complex (I) are new. Monocyclopentadienyl complex (I) of formulae (Cp(-Z-C(R1a>)=A)mMa>) and (Cp-Z-C(R1a>)=AMa>(Xa>)n) are new. Cp : cyclopentadienyl system; Z : divalent bridge between Cp and C, which is bonded with A and R1a> (where the shortest linkage of Z is from at least 1 atom of the group 14 and at least one atom of the group 14, 15 or 16 of the periodic system of the elements and not formed by an aromatic ring system, A : O, S, NR2a> or PR2a>); either R1a>,R2a>H, 1-22C alkyl, 2-22 alkenyl, 6-22C aryl, 6-20C aryl-1-10C alkyl, N(R3a>)2, N(Si(R3a>)3)2, OR3a>, OSi(R3a>)3, Si(R3a>)3 (all optionally substituted by halo); or R1a>R2a>5-7 membered ring; either R3a>,R23a>H, 1-20C alkyl, 2-20C alkenyl, 6-20C aryl or 6-20C aryl-1-10C alkyl; or 2R3a>,2R23a>5-6 membered ring; Ma>Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mb or W, elements of group 3 of the periodic system or lanthanides; either Xa>F, Cl, Br, I, H, 1-10C alkyl, 2-10C alkenyl, 6-20C aryl, 6-20C aryl-1-10C alkyl, NR21a>R22a>, OR21a>, SR21a>, SO3R21a>, OC(O)R21a>, CN, SCN, beta -diketone, CO, BF->4, PF->6, or bulky non-coordinating anions (all optionally substituted by halo); or 2Xa>optionally substituted ligand, preferably 1,3-diene ligand; either R21a>,R22a>H, 1-20C alkyl, 2-20C alkenyl, 6-20C aryl, 6-20C aryl-1-10C alkyl, Si(R23a>)3 (all optionally substituted by halo, N, or O); or R21a>R22a>5-6 membered ring; and m,n : 1-3. Independent claims are included for: (1) a catalyst system to the olefin polymerization, comprising (I), optionally an organic or inorganic carrier, optionally one or more activating compounds, optionally further catalysts suitable for the olefin polymerization and optionally one or more metal compounds of the group 1, 2 or 13 of the periodic system; and (2) a process for the production of polyolefins by (co)polymerization of olefins in presence of the catalyst system. |
