<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling efficiency of a heat radiation part radiating the heat generated by a semiconductor element when the electric power converter operates while the rolling stock stops. <P>SOLUTION: This electric power converter for rolling stock includes a partition plate A12 between the heat radiation part A8 and the heat radiation part B8 and a partition plate B12 between the heat radiation part B8 and the heat radiation part C8 to prevent the heat radiated by the heat radiation part A8 from being transmitted to the heat radiation part B8 and to prevent the heat radiated by the heat radiation part C8 from being transmitted to the heat radiation part B8. Consequently, this electric power converter can improve the cooling efficiency of the heat radiation part B8 easily causing residence of heat, in particular, while the rolling stock stops. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
