PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule for a pipe joint causing no leak in piping for high pressure transport of fluid. SOLUTION: Flanges 2 and 2 which face each other are formed on a pair of short pipes 1 and 1 arranged on a common center axis c. Inner and outer circumferential surfaces 1a and 1b of a taper by a small common taper angleα, sharing the common axis c, are engaged to connect the pair of the short pipes 1 and 1. Setting small gaps f and f' between a distal end 1a' of the outer circumferential surface 1a and a base end 1b' of the inner circumferential surface 1b, and between the flanges 2 and 2 which face each other, a clamp 4 is provided to support the flanges 2 and 2 in their facing directions in that state.
