PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position measuring device stably measuring position data of a transport container, without receiving influence by the weather and a color of the transport container. SOLUTION: This container position measuring device has a trigger means 81 receiving a brake signal of a crane 1 moving on a plurality of containers, a measuring time range determining means 82 for determining a receiving time of a measuring signal from a microwave sensor 31 based on the brake signal in the trigger means 81, a signal level comparing means 84 for comparing signal levels of the measuring signal received in the receiving time, a container height determining means 86 calculating a container height based on a comparison of the signal levels by the signal level comparing mens 84, and a display means 90 for displaying the container height determined by the container height determining means 86, and is characterized in that a predetermined time after inputting the brake signal in the trigger means 81, is set as the receiving time in the measuring time range determining means 82.
