PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-board information-intensive advanced safety train control system, wherein quick and accurate control can be carried out in a train by mounting an intelligent on-board controller. SOLUTION: The on-board information-intensive advanced safety train control system includes an obstacle on the track detector 4, which detects the information regarding an obstacle on the track; a train state detector 5 which detects the state of the train; an information collector 6 which collects the information regarding the areas along the track; an information collector 7 which collects information from a preceding train 13; and an on-board controller 3; which is mounted on a following train 2 in order to collect and process information from the detectors and the information collectors. Advanced safety train control is performed mainly by the on-board controller 3 in the following train 2, by using the information about an obstacle on the track, the information about the state of the train, the information about the areas along the track, and the information from a preceding train 13.
