PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for preventing an opening/closing device from falling off which is devised to prevent an opening/closing device having a one-leg type mounting member from falling off from an apparatus body by a simple constitution, and a business machine equipped with the same. SOLUTION: The mechanism for preventing the opening/closing device from falling off comprises the opening/closing device having the one-leg type mounting member to which a supporting member for mounting an opening/closing body is mounted so as to be turnable through a hinge pin, and an insertion mounting hole formed at the apparatus body side in order to detachably mount the mounting member of the opening/closing device where a recess and a locking part formed protrusively from the recess are formed at a lower end side of the mounting member, and a guide vertical groove in which the locking part is housed and an engaging part for the locking part are formed in the insertion mounting hole.
