PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a conventional arm stand can not hold a flat display above the desk, since it has to keep its base roller always touches on a desk surface and arm length is also restricted to move freely on the desk. SOLUTION: The arm stand has a mechanism of a flat holder 2 for holding the flat display 1; a holder side hinge 3 which is a first turning section connecting an arm 4 free to turn above the holder 2; the arm 4 supporting the holder 2 at an area higher than a touch panel of the flat display 1; a base supporting the arm 4; and a base side hinge 5, which is a second rotary section connecting the base and the arm 4 in a freely turnable manner, and thus, the flat display 1 can be fixed at any position desired on the desk.
