PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for reinforcing rubber, which does not produce harmful gas such as ammonia during curing and is excellent in rubber reinforcing effect for hardness, elastic modulus or the like. SOLUTION: The resin composition for reinforcing rubber contains a solid phenol resin and a solid epoxy resin as essential components, and is characterized in that the solid phenol resin is a novolac type alkylphenol resin and it does not produce ammonia during curing. It is preferable that the alkylphenol used in the solid phenol resin is p-tert-butylphenol and/or p-tert-octylphenol. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
