PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the total size of image data for guiding at the time when an error occurs. SOLUTION: In response to the occurrence of the error, a 2D bit map image for guiding is created and displayed on an operation panel by rendering corresponding 3D vector data (S4 and S6). 2D bit map image data as the rendering result are stored in a PROM if the PROM has room in a storage region (S5) for use in response to the occurrence of the error (S0). The 2D bit map image data are deleted or added according to priorities of the 2D bit map image data (S2-S4). Priorities are regularly changed on the basis of the number of times on the occurrence of the error. Rendering may be carried out before shifting to a sleep state or requested on a host computer.
