PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure favorable restraint performance by a seat belt device with a simple structure in a front collision of a vehicle in a seat belt device for a vehicle including a shoulder anchor for hanging a seat belt on a rear header panel of a rear upper portion of a vehicle body. SOLUTION: The rear header panel 5 is provided constituting the rear upper portion of the vehicle body 2, extended in the width direction of the vehicle body 2 and with both ends supported on rear portions of right and left side walls 4 of the vehicle body 2, and with each portion in the longitudinal direction having a closed cross section. The shoulder anchor 26 for hanging the seat belt 33 is attached to an inner panel 15 on the a vehicle interior 9 side of the rear header panel 5. A centroid 36 on the closed section of the rear header panel 5 is located on a front upper portion of an attaching portion 37 of the shoulder anchor 26 in relation to the inner panel 15.
