PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce flare noise in an erecting equal-magnification lens array plate, an optical scanning unit using the erecting equal-magnification lens array plate, and an image reader. SOLUTION: In the erecting equal-magnification lens array plate 11, a first lens array plate 24 where a plurality of first lenses 24a and a plurality of second lenses 24b are formed on a first surface 24c and a second surface 24d respectively and a second lens array plate 26 where a plurality of third lenses 26a and a plurality of fourth lenses 26b are formed on a third surface 26c and a fourth surface 26d respectively are stacked. The erecting equal-magnification lens array plate 11 includes a first light shielding wall 50 erected so as to surround the first lenses 24a and a second light shielding wall 52 erected so as to surround the fourth lenses 26b. An area 24e other than the effective areas of the first lenses 24a in the first surface 24c of the first lens array plate 24 is subjected to surface roughening processing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
