PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make up delay with a simple structure; and to reduce consumption of energy and deterioration of ride quality in controlling a train when the delay occurs. SOLUTION: A train control system estimates a position of a preceding train from a transition of a signal information on a target stop point, and performs a notch control, which prioritizes coasting within a range of keeping time intervals constant when the time intervals between the train and the preceding train are short.
