APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING GUI INTERACTING ACCORDING TO RECOGNIZED USER APPROACH

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for providing a GUI interacting according to recognized user approach are provided to enable a user to recognize item information before directly contacting an item in order to prevent a malfunction while reducing the number of user operations. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(160) displays at least one item, and a proximity sensor(120) senses the approach of a user. A touch sensor(110) recognizes the contact of a user, and a control unit(130) judges the item of a corresponding point by detecting the point sensed by the proximity sensor. The control unit displays the information related to the judged item, and performs a function corresponding to the use contact recognized by the touch sensor.
