<p>The invention relates to a vertical wind energy collector including a screen for concealing the blades. The invention is formed by a central, vertical, rotary shaft, the lower end of which is secured with bearings to a rigid base anchored to the ground. The shaft is provided with at least three rectangular blades and the corresponding frames thereof, disposed perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the shaft, which rotate about the central shaft. In addition, a semi-circular screen, made from a suitable material, is installed along half of the plan-view circumference of the rotary movement performed by the central shaft together with the respective blades thereof. Half of the blades are located inside the semi-circular screen while the other half are located outside same and exposed to the force of the wind.</p> |
