<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard coat film which stably keeps its own mechanical strength, stain-proof properties and optical characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The hard coat film includes a hard coat layer 2, at least on one side face of a transparent base member 1, with the hard coat layer being located on the uppermost surface. In addition, the hard coat layer contains a fluorine compound and/or a silicon-based compound, and the ratios of fluorine atoms, oxygen atoms and carbon atoms which all exist in the surface of the hard coat layer are at least 20 atom% and below 50 atom%, at least 20 atom% and below 30 atom%, and at least 30 atom% and below 60 atom%, respectively; and the ratio of the existing silicon is at least 0 atom% and below 10 atom%, these ratios being all measured by an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic analyzer. In addition, the surface free energy of the hard coat layer, which is computed from a surface contact angle, is at least 15 mN/m and at most 20 mN/m. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
