STRIP FOR PACKING MODULE, CORRESPONDING PACKING MODULE AND CORRESPONDING DISTILLATION PLANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distillation process using a cross-corrugated packing module and the cross-corrugated packing module capable of allowing a distillation column packed therewith to have a smaller pressure drop per unit length thereof.

SOLUTION: Packing strips 2 constituting the cross-corrugated packing module have a plurality of corrugations for alternately forming first main peaks 10 directed to one direction and second main peaks 12 directed to the direction opposite to that of the first main peaks. Each of a plurality of channels is formed to be extended between the adjacent first and second main peaks. A plurality of reversed parts 22 each having a notch above each of main peaks are arranged to form rows arrayed in parallel to the upper edge 4 and lower edge 6 of each of packing strips. The cross-corrugated packing module is assembled by layering a plurality of packing strips on one another so that the extending course of the channel is turned from one packing strip to the next packing strip.
