<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire for heavy load capable of improving noise performance of the tire. <P>SOLUTION: Groove bottom parts 4 of a pair of vertical main grooves 3c arranged on both sides of the tire equator are provided with partition wall bodies 5 for sound-proofing which project from the groove bottom parts 4 outward in the tire radial direction and extend continuously to the tire circumferential direction. Height DL of an outer end part of the partition wall body 5 from the groove bottom part 4 is in a range of 1.0-1.08 times the groove depth WL of the vertical main groove. Outer end width TW at the outer end part of the partition wall body 5 is in a range of 0.5-0.85 times the inner end width BW at the inner end part of the partition wall body. The outer end width TW of the partition wall body 5 is in a range of 0.2-0.5 times the groove width SW of the vertical main groove. In addition, the inner end part in the tire radial direction of the partition wall body 5, which approaches an opening part of a lateral groove 7c most closely, circumferentially extends in a zigzag manner while it repeats approaching and separating from a groove wall of the vertical main groove 3c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
