PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a high supporting strength even if the elbow body of an armrest apparatus is made of a resin in a chair wherein the armrest apparatus is fixed to a base. SOLUTION: The base 2 includes a box-like base body 19 which opens upward, a first fitting 20 for holding a bushing 26 by cooperating with the base body 19, and a second fitting 21 which is interposed between the first fitting 20 and the base body 19. The elbow body 9 has an insertion section 15 which is fitted in the base 2, and a section which is surrounded by the first fitting 20 and the second fitting 21 is made into an elbow attaching hole 14. In the elbow attaching hole 14, there is inserted the insertion section 15 of the elbow body 9.
