PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometric authentication apparatus, a template registration method, a biometrics authentication method, and program, capable of performing authentication with high accuracy by using biological information after Hough transform without alignment of each image. SOLUTION: The biometric authentication apparatus includes: a Hough transform unit for performing the Hough transform of the biological information inherent in a biological body; a template registration unit for registering the biological information after a plurality of Hough transforms as a template, which is a standard of the biological information when the biometric authentication is processed; and a biological information authentication unit for authenticating the biological information after the Hough transform based on the plurality of templates registered beforehand.
