Disclosed is a semiconductor white light-emitting device wherein the reproducibility of a bright red color is improved. Specifically disclosed is a semiconductor white light-emitting device, the output light of which contains a blue light component, a green light component and a red light component. The source of the blue light component is a semiconductor light-emitting element and/or a first phosphor that adsorbs the light emitted from the semiconductor light-emitting element and discharges light that contains the blue light component by means of wavelength conversion; the source of the green light component is a second phosphor that adsorbs the light emitted from the semiconductor light-emitting element and discharges light that contains the green light component by means of wavelength conversion; and the source of the red light component is a third phosphor that adsorbs the light emitted from the semiconductor light-emitting element and discharges light that contains the red light component by means of wavelength conversion. The spectrum of the output light has a maximum wavelength within the range of 615-645 nm; and the intensity of the spectrum of the output light at a wavelength of 580 nm, said spectrum being standardized with respect to the photon flux, is 80-100% of the intensity of the spectrum of the reference light for color rendering evaluation at a wavelength of 580 nm, said spectrum being standardized with respect to the photon flux. |
