LIGHT EMISSION DEVICE, TEMPERATURE CONTROL METHOD FOR THE SAME, DISPLAY DEVICE, AND LIGHT IRRADIATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a stabilization time of temperature in stable light emission wherein wavelength variation is suppressed when an output to be controlled is changed.

SOLUTION: A light emission device includes a light source 11 having a semiconductor light emitting element 21 for emitting light, a temperature measurement section 22 for measuring temperature of the light source 11, and a temperature control section 12 instructing a temperature control element 23 to control the temperature of the light source 11 to control target temperature based upon the temperature measured by the temperature measurement section 22, wherein when the light source 11 is made to cause at least binary output variation, the temperature control section 12 instructs the temperature control element 23 to suppress temperature variation due to the binary output variation.
