<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly reduce a burden of a user in classifying image files which are added and updated, and consequently, to facilitate association with other content data. <P>SOLUTION: An image detection/registration part 20 detects an image file which is unregistered or updated, constructs a list of the image files, and manages it. A face rectangle detection part 21 detects a face rectangle in the detected image file, associates information about the face rectangle with the image file, and stores it. A similar face classification part 22 calculates a feature amount of the face rectangle, and compares the calculated feature amount with the feature amount of other face rectangles already calculated and classified into each group, to calculate similarity of the face rectangle and other face rectangle of each group and to classify the face rectangle in accordance with a similarity calculation result, and manages it. A similar face display part 23 displays one or more image file including the face rectangle classified into the same category on the basis of the classification result of the face rectangle, on a display screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
