PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly-reliable inkjet recording head which suppresses the occurrence of peel-off of a coating resin layer from a substrate. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording head includes the coating resin layer 3 and a substrate 2. The coating resin layer 3 has a plurality of discharge openings 6 for discharging ink and a plurality of ink channels 8 communicating with the discharge openings 6. The substrate 2 has an energy generating element 1 which generates energy for discharging the ink. Furthermore, the inkjet recording head has an adhesion improving layer 5 provided between the coating resin layer 3 and the substrate 2 to improve the adhesion therebetween. The thickness of the adhesion improving layer 5 at the position overlapped with at least a pair of mutually opposed ends among the ends of the substrate 2 is thicker than that of the adhesion improving layer 5 at the positions other than that described above.
