METHOD AND BASE STATION FOR TRANSMITTING CLOSED SUBSCRIBER GROUP INFORMATION

A method for transmitting Closed Subscriber Group (CSG) information includes: a target network element with a CSG attribute receives a message requesting CSG information, and returns its own CSG information to the source network element which transmitted the original message, wherein said CSG information at least includes CSG ID information of the CSG to which said target network element belongs. Application of the technical solutions of the present invention enables base stations to obtain the CSG information of an opposite side from each other, thus ensuring that a direct interface can be established between Home evolved Node-Bs (HeNBs) having the same CSG attribute under a same HeNB Gateway (HeNB GW).
