CHANNEL SWITCHING METHOD, DEVICE AND SYSTEM

A channel switching method, device and system are disclosed. Therein, the channel switching method includes that: in the process of channel switching, Program Specific Information (PSI) for decoding media data is reassembled to Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) messages, wherein the stream characteristic of said RTP messages and the stream characteristic of the RTP messages carrying said media data are same; the RTP messages carrying the PSI are transmitted to a terminal device, then the RTP messages carrying said media data are transmitted to the terminal device. Said technical solution can ensure that the RTP messages carrying the PSI arrive at the terminal device earlier than the RTP messages carrying the media data, thus avoiding the phenomena of screen tearing or black screen and so on, which appear on the terminal device, and avoiding that PSI has an effect on the delay of channel switching.
