<p>A method for saving terminal electricity and a terminal, the method comprises: a control unit connects with a radio frequency unit when a rod antenna is in a pulled-out state (101); and the control unit disconnects with the radio frequency unit when the rod antenna is in a retraction state (102). The power loss of the terminal can be reduced based on the method and the terminal to achieve the purpose of saving power consumption of the battery.</p>
