PURPOSE: An electronic pen is provided to prolong the use time by reducing the power consumption. CONSTITUTION: An infrared scanning unit(120) injects the infrared ray to the writing object. The writing object comprises printable area printed with a visible light absorbing ink, and a code area printed with an infrared absorbing ink. An image sensor(110) receives an absolute coordinate by receiving the infrared ray reflected from the writing object. An optical sensor(130) receives the route of the electronic pen by receiving the infrared ray reflected from the writing object along the route of the electronic pen. A movement route processing unit(150) calculates the writing route of the electronic pen suing the absolute coordinate and the relative writing route.
