<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of data to be stored and transferred to such a degree as required for real-time processing in correcting distortion of a stereo video image. <P>SOLUTION: A method for correcting distortion of a camera image includes: receiving a plurality of distorted pixels of a distorted camera image (215, 216) via an interface; preparing a compressed distortion-correction rule (617, 618) for correcting the distorted camera image; restoring the distortion-correction rule; and determining a plurality of pixels to be corrected of a corrected camera image (223, 224) from the plurality of distorted pixels, using the distortion-correction rule. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
