PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the position of a shaft holding portion, while achieving a reduction in the thickness of the side wall of a housing. SOLUTION: A driving device includes: a piezoelectric element 50 expanded and contracted according to a driving voltage; a transmission shaft 51 receiving a vibration generated by the piezoelectric element 50; a lens holder 31 moved together with the piezoelectric element 50 and the transmission shaft 51; the housing 20 having the side wall surrounding the lens holder 31 and extending along the moving direction of the lens holder 31; and the shaft holding portion 40 being a separate body from the housing 20 and holding the transmission shaft 51, in such a state that the transmission shaft 51 can slide along the moving direction of the lens holder 31. The shaft holding portion 40 is arranged in the vicinity of the side wall of the housing 20 and provided in an attachment surface extending along a direction crossing the extending direction of the side wall of the housing 20.
