A handover method and device for an Access Service Network (ASN) are provided in the present invention. The method includes the following steps: establishing a handover path for ASN handover (601); detecting whether the handover path connects abnormally by a terminating network element of the handover path (602); if detecting that the connection is abnormal, notifying other network elements in the terminating network element by the abnormal network element in the terminating network element to delete the abnormally connected handover path (603). The present invention effectively ensures data consistency of data paths between each network element, and enhances network resource utilization rates and message transmission efficiency of the ASN, thereby being propitious to pursue data services. Therefore the problem that path numbers on relative network elements are inconsistent, which exists in the handover method for the ASN in the relative art, is overcome. The inconsistent path numbers not only occupy more network resources of the ASN, but also result in data message loss, thereby resulting in the problem that partial services or all services of users can not perform data transmission. |
