For the purpose of developing novel use applications of resveratrol, an inhibitory activity of resveratrol on matrix metalloprotease-2 (MMP-2) is found. A preparation for exhibiting the inhibitory activity of resveratrol on matrix metalloprotease-2 (MMP-2) effectively is provided. Thus, disclosed is a matrix metallo protease-2 (MMP-2)inhibitor comprising resveratrol as an active ingredient.
