PURPOSE: A control method of an air conditioner for a vehicle is provided to reduce the cost for automatic defogging control by implementing a mix mode and a defrost mode using a single actuator. CONSTITUTION: A control method of an air conditioner for a vehicle is as follows. According to the detected humidity index of a vehicle window, only an exterior air mode is implemented(S31), the exterior air mode and a mix mode are successively implemented(S41), or the exterior air mode, the mix mode, and the defrost mode are successively implemented(S61). In the exterior air mode, exterior air is drawn in. In the mix mode, a part of air is discharged to a defrost vent while the rest is discharged to a floor vent. In the defrost mode, air is discharged to the defrost vent.
