PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous colorant dispersion in which the dispersed state of dispersed particles is easy to control by change in liquid properties (especially pH change) and the colorant is finely dispersed, and which is excellent in aging stability and water redispersibility.

SOLUTION: The aqueous colorant dispersion includes a colorant (A) and a polymer (B) including: a hydrophobic structural unit (a) having an aromatic ring linked via a linking group to an atom forming the main chain; a hydrophilic structural unit (b) having an ionic group; and a structural unit (c) derived from an aliphatic amine or a monocyclic aromatic amine.
