PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric seat device which restricts a gap between the actual state of a seat and the state of the seat recognized by the device. SOLUTION: This electric seat device includes: a motor 12; a transmitting member 13 mechanically connected to a seat ST and driven by the motor 12, thereby changing a state of the seat ST; an operation switch 11 outputting an operation signal indicating a changing direction of the state of the seat ST; and a sensor 14 outputting a single pulse synchronized with the rotation of the motor 12. The motor 12 is driven in the rotating direction corresponding to the operation signal to change the state of the seat ST, and the pulse output with the rotation of the motor 12 is counted to detect the state of the seat ST, and stores it. After starting drive of the motor 12, a CPU 21 continues the drive of the motor 12 till the changing direction of the state of the seat ST is determined based on the pulse.
