摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently suppress vibration in the thickness direction of the tip of a turning-tool stay, while the reducing weight of the turning-tool stay mounting a turning tool for machining a turbine rotor. SOLUTION: A turning-tool stay 8 includes sub-materials 38, that are respectively laminated on both faces in the thickness direction of a main material 32 and are made of a carbon fiber reinforced plastic, having a higher modulus of longitudinal elasticity than that of the main material 32 regarding the longitudinal direction of the main material 32 and a vibration damping mechanism 36 for reducing the vibration in the thickness direction of the tip of the main material 32, during machining of a turbine rotor 100. The vibration damping mechanism 36 has a weight 44 that is stored in a storage chamber 42, at the tip of the main material 32 so as to be displaceable in the thickness direction of the main material 32 and suppresses vibration by the displacement in the storage chamber 42 in a direction opposite to the vibration when the tip of the main material 32 vibrates in its thickness direction.
